Department Summary
The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Department's primary purpose is to provide a unique opportunity for student-athletes to be developed, tested, and encouraged to reach their maximum potential in every aspect of their lives. The department has approximately 250 administrative & classified employees and hosts over 600,000 spectators annually and represents the University of Oregon in athletic competition with other universities & colleges.
Position Summary
The Videographer will be responsible for producing high-quality video board content for all sports within the University of Oregon athletic department. The person in this position will be accountable for content production for all in-game presentations at all UO athletic venues to strategically enhance the brand of the University of Oregon Athletic Department. They will be responsible to produce high-quality promotional video content for social media and all other UO communications channels with footage from the video department. This position will be responsible for the creation of strategies relative to content and message and will subsequently be accountable for executing those strategies.
This position will provide lead execution of all creative content campaigns and initiatives through the development of creative content that enhances revenue streams through fan engagement and experience, brand awareness, advertising, and public relations strategies.
The Videographer will be responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the university, Pac-12 Conference and the NCAA.
This position will require a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain UO Driver's Certification. The employee hired into this position will shoot video at locations on both sides of the Willamette River. These locations include Autzen Stadium, Matthew Knight Arena, Jane Sanders Stadium and Hayward Field. The employee will need transportation for themselves and the equipment required for the job.
Minimum Requirements - Three years of television production videography
experience
Professional Competencies - Experience with digital video camera equipment and functions,
including familiarity with HD Broadcast and Non-Broadcast
Cameras
- Proficiency with professional video editing software (Adobe
Premiere) and other video editing software, such as
AfterEffects
Preferred Qualifications - One year of experience with execution of creative content
initiatives and shooting sporting events or action
highlights
- One year of experience creating digital audio and video files
for the web, social media, and in-venue video boards
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience and knowledge of large volume database servers for
archival purposes
- Experience with information technology as it relates to
hardware and software installs as well as troubleshooting and
technical knowledge of broadcast equipment
