Primary Purpose of Position:
The Manager of Gift and Records is responsible for the management oversight of the development and implementation of the university's fundraising database and prospect management system (Blackbaud Raisers Edge). The Manager manages severalfunctions within the Advancement operation to include gift processing, prospect management, preparing management reports, records maintenance and donor relations. The qualified individual reports to the Senior Director of Advancement Services and maintains close contact with key development and alumni staff.

Minimum Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree and 3 - 5 years of progressively related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge preferred, must have experience with donor data management within a higher education or nonprofit setting.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong ability to organize and prioritize work, be proactive, take initiative, resolve problems, follow through and simultaneously manage multiple priorities to ensure goals are met in a timely manner.Ability to create professional development plans for staff that aligns with the strategicgoals of the department. Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with current fundraising practices and accounting principlesCommitment to maintaining confidentiality and a high degree of accuracy in donor records.Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of data update procedures and recommendmore effective data maintenance and update mechanisms and functions if required.
