Job Description:
Primary teaching responsibility would be Earth Science Survey and/or Oceanography.
Primary Purpose:

The award of all degrees must be verifiable on a legible transcript. If degree award date is not posted on transcript your application will be deemed incomplete and removed from consideration.
Grade cards will not be accepted in lieu of transcripts.

Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s in geology, geophysics, earth sciences, meteorology, oceanography or paleontology
OR Bachelor’s in geology AND Master’s in geography, physics, or geochemistry
OR Possess a valid California teaching credential authorizing service in a community college in the appropriate subject matter area
OR The equivalent. Equivalent qualifications may include related education, training, employment and professional experience that would be equal to the required degree(s) and experience in this field as determined by the District Equivalency Committee.

Desirable Qualifications:
Previous teaching experience in Earth Science and/or Oceanography
Some Earth Science and/or Oceanography industrial experience
Knowledge of Orange County geology/oceanography

Special Instructions Summary: This recruitment will remain active for a period of one year, from the position opening date.
