This role supports the extracurricular experience at Emerson College; including hands-on leadership development of students, student organization management, advisor relationships, and campus-wide leadership training. Provides meaningful training opportunities concerning equity, inclusion, and accessibility to the greater student community.

Essential Functions of the Role:

• Provide support and assistance for affiliated and independent student organizations
• In consultation with Director of Student Engagement and Leadership, serve as the point person for the student organization reactivation process, including review of all organization constitutions, scheduling, attendance tracking, and support of trainings involving Equity and Inclusion, Power-Based Interpersonal Violence, and Accessibility
• Provide support for the student organization affiliation process
• Serve as the primary contact for student organization advisors, providing regular trainings and touch points for our advising community
• In consultation with Director of Student Engagement and Leadership, serve as the point person for the creation and oversight of campus-wide leadership training efforts, including StrengthsQuest, Equity and Inclusion, and Accessibility initiatives
• Provide advising support for the Emerson Recognition and Achievement Awards
• Assist with the implementation, marketing and monitoring of EmConnect, the College's Campus Labs Engage platform

Other Responsibilities:

• Participate in policy development and implementation where it impacts student organizations
• Serving as a member of Student Engagement and Leadership at campus- wide programs including Orientation, Student Organization Fair, Family Weekend, Recruitment events and other Student Affairs functions
• Help create intentional branding and marketing to promote the office and its features

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in higher ed or similar industry
  
• One to three years' experience supporting and advising college students
  
• Experience with student development and leadership training
  
• Previous experience with facilitation of student workshops
  

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree
  
• Working knowledge of Campus Labs/Anthology platform

Hiring Range: $51,100.00 - $53,600.00
