Description:
The Assistant Director of Advancement Services reports to the Executive Director of Advancement Services, helping to improve and maintain information and systems accuracy for the Institutional Advancement Division. The Assistant Director will manage one direct report.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for Accounting/Financial reports of donations received by the university. Compiles gifts/financial reports.
- Supervise all prospect management and prospect research activity for Development staff.
- Assists with oversight of all gift processing to Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi and Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi Foundation.
- Assist the Executive Director of Advancement Services in managing major projects and represent the department in Director's absence. Initiate special projects.
- Responsible for maintaining initial and on-going donor stewardship.
- Verify accuracy of database integrity.
- Assist in preparation of department budget.
- Ensure all A&M-CC donations are processed according to IRS regulations and A&M System policies as well as the accuracy of all gift and biographical information in the database.
- Supervise the Prospect Research Assistant.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Six (6) years of related experience.
- Additional experience may substitute for the minimum education
requirement:
- High School Diploma or GED and ten (10) years of related experience.
- Associate degree and eight (8) years of related experience.
- Experience with higher education advancement prospect and portfolio management and prospect research.
- Strong skill in creating and running reports using Raiser's Edge Blackbaud donor database or comparable.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- Six (6) years of prospect research and/or prospect management experience.
- Two (2) years' experience using Raiser's Edge Blackbaud donor database or comparable.
