Responsibilities:
  • The Administrative Assistant for the Registrar's Office will perform all secretarial duties for the department and the Office of Institutional Research, Effectiveness & Planning.
  • Duties include answering the phone, assisting students/faculty/staff who request in-person assistance, managing inventory, creating purchase orders, ordering office supplies, performing official timekeeper duties (posting monthly leave time for staff) for both the Registrar's Office and Institutional Research, Effectiveness & Planning.
  • This position is responsible for Banner student data processing (adds, drops, withdrawals, no shows, cut-outs, etc.) and Banner document management (scanning/indexing all student documents).
  • Additional duties will include assisting with organizing and producing commencement ceremonies (ordering supplies, ticket distribution, duties during the ceremonies, etc.), mailing diplomas, assisting in managing & training student workers, and assisting the Registrar and Assistant Registrar in preparing documentation for athletic eligibility review and in auditing data, updating databases, and clearing students for graduation.
  • The Administrative Assistant will also be cross-trained and expected to assist as needed and as a backup for other positions in the office, including but not limited to transcript processing, transcript articulation, degree audits, course substitutions, and degree modifications.
  • Other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:
    • High School degree or GED and a minimum of 2 years full-time work required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
    • Excellent communication (written and verbal), organizational, critical thinking, reading comprehension, customer service, and computer skills (Excel, Word).
    • Ability to perform detail-oriented work accurately and in a timely manner.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
    • Collaborative and collegial attitude.
    • Excellent team member and able to work well independently.
    • Previous work experience at a higher education institution using Banner administrative software is preferred.
    • Previous experience in student service or student records-related positions is preferred.• High School degree or GED and a minimum of 2 years full-time work required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.

    12 monthCommensurate with experience and qualifications
