We invite applications and nominations for a full-time faculty position in Orthodontics, in the clinical track at the assistant or associate professor rank. The division of Orthodontics at the University of Michigan is internationally recognized for clinical and academic excellence, provides sound clinical and academic education, has state of the art clinical facilities and offers an exceptional scholarly environment. Departmental research strengths include clinical, translational, and basic research in skeletal and tooth development, tooth movement, virtual reality in education, 3D imaging and treatment outcomes. In addition, numerous opportunities are available for collaboration within the dental school and the greater university community.

 

Candidates for this position should have a D.D.S. or equivalent degree and advanced training in orthodontics. ABO certification or equivalent is desirable but not required. A record of teaching and clinical experience is preferred. A State of Michigan limited academic dental license may be available for qualified candidates. Responsibilities will include directorship of the graduate orthodontic clinic, didactic and clinical instruction of graduate orthodontic residents, scholarly activity, and service. Faculty practice opportunities are available. Salary and rank will be commensurate with experience and training.
