Job Description:

The Department of Business Administration and Economics at Worcester State University invites applications for a tenure-track position in Management at the assistant professor rank, beginning in fall 2022. Applicants must possess a strong desire to teach in a department and institution with a reputation for excellent teaching, and to pursue research that ideally involves engaging and collaborating with undergraduate students. The department and the University values applicants who can contribute to the academic community through their teaching and scholarship. The successful candidate will be expected to teach the departments introductory management course along with other required lower-level and upper-level courses and electives.

The department offers a BSBA with concentrations in Management, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Entrepreneurship, and International Business. The Graduate School offers an MS in Management with concentrations in Leadership, Marketing, and Accounting, Candidates who can teach in multiple programs will be given preferred consideration.


Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ph.D. or D.B.A. in Management, conferred by September 1, 2022
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior undergraduate teaching experience
  • Research that involves engaging and collaborating with undergraduate students
  • Experience in offering courses with a service learning or community service component
