Job Description:

The Center for Business and Industry at Worcester State University is seeking to add to our pool of qualified instructors to provide non-credit training for contracts, grants or other potential assignments. Instructors would be responsible for development/revision of curriculum and materials and facilitation of training programs for business/industry training. Due to the nature of this position travel may be required. Desired areas of subject matter expertise include, but are not limited to:

  • Microsoft Office applications

Job responsibilities include:
  • Design effective training curriculum
  • Develop course materials and job aids in a range of media formats
  • Utilize a variety of training techniques and learning tools to ensure maximum learning effectiveness
  • Ability to develop training programs and create customized curriculum for business and industry
  • Ability to facilitate effectively in a business or industrial setting
  • Collaborate with Center for Business and Industry staff to ensure successful delivery of training

  • Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
  • Experience in teaching/training in the subject matter
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent and proven presentation and facilitation skills with the ability to be persuasive, compelling, motivational, concise and articulate
  • Understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design techniques, best practice learning tools is preferred
  • Business and industry related experience preferred

Additional Information:

Compensation varies based on assignment and experience.
