Job Description:

The Health Sciences Department of Worcester State University is seeking outstanding candidate for its adjuncts faculty positions to teach 3-9 credits as needed. The Health Sciences Department offers a BS in Public Health and in Health Education, minors in Health and in Public Health, and a concentration in Public Health and Social Justice. Worcester State University offers a vibrant teaching and learning environment and a wealth of opportunities for inter-disciplinary engagement and campus involvement.


Requirements:

  1. A successful candidate will have earned an MPH, Master of Health Science, Master in related fields, or a terminal degree (MD, PhD, Dr.PH, ScD) in a related field.
  2. The candidate must demonstrate evidence of successful college teaching in one or more of the following courses: Introduction to Public Health, Introduction to Global Health, Introduction to Epidemiology, Health Ethics, Environmental Health, Fitness for life, Drugs and Society, Introduction to Research Methods, Mental Health Education and Human Sexuality and Sex Education.
  3. Experience with distance learning preferred.
  4. Must have a laptop and reliable internet access.

Adjunct faculty postings are for potential part-time, non-benefited, teaching positions during the 2020-2021 academic year.

The applicant pool will be reviewed by the department chair, when searching for candidates to fill the position.

Applicants for adjunct positions will not be notified of their status unless they are contacted by the department chair or their designee.

Applicants should withdraw their application from the pool if they are no longer interested.
