Job Description:

The History and Political Science Department seeks qualified individuals to join our Political Science adjunct hiring pool to express their interest in future, part-time teaching assignments at Worcester State. Ph.D preferred; ABD considered.

Typical course assignments are 100-level introductory courses such as: United States government, global politics, legal studies, and/or political theory. There is a possibility of teaching electives as listed in the current catalog as well.


Requirements:

  1. PhD in Political Science or related field preferred; ABD considered; MA degree required.
  2. College-level teaching experience is preferred.
  3. Experience with distance learning preferred.
  4. Must have a laptop and reliable internet access.

Adjunct faculty postings are for potential part-time, non-benefited, teaching positions during the 2023-2024 academic year.

The applicant pool will be reviewed by the department chair, when searching for candidates to fill the position.

Applicants for adjunct positions will not be notified of their status unless they are contacted by the department chair or their designee.

Applicants should withdraw their application from the pool if they are no longer interested.
