PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
The Coordinator II, Web Content and Design develops and coordinates
an LSC campus website, acting as primary liaison between customers,
Designers and Developers. Defines approach and model to collect and
document college information. Provides training and support to end
users. Advises and leads customers to solutions while meeting
system and process requirements. Works with project teams to
facilitate design of components of Content Management System.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Acts as liaison between content owners, customers, end users,
designers and developers to ensure all protocols are followed and
customer’s needs are met
- Consults with customers to identify needs and advise on
- Works with designers/developers to create web solutions to
- Serves as System administrator (Content Management System),
including editor authorizations and security
- Utilizes online marketing strategies including social media
tools (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.) and other digital
platforms to increase Web traffic and student engagement
- Creates online marketing initiatives including the design and
development of online newsletters and other communication
- Serves as a project manager and provides training as
- Responsible for day-to-day management and coordination of the
campus digital messaging system (DMS) and electronic signage
- Responsible for other reasonable related duties as
- Strong verbal communication and writing skills
- Demonstrated strong design skills (portfolio will be required
if selected for interview)
- Knowledge of multiple web tools such as HTML, DHTML,
Cascading Style sheets and PowerPoint
- Ability to work in and with multiple project teams, technical
staff and content editors
- Ability to adapt to changing environment and acquire new
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and meet
- Ability to work on a database-driven enterprise-level web site
developed in environments such as ColdFusion, ASP or ASP.NET.
- Must be able to perform within deadlines
The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee sits comfortably to
do the work. However, there may be some walking; standing; bending;
carrying of light items, such as papers, books, or small parts; or
driving an automobile. No special physical demands are required to
perform the work.
WORK SCHEDULE AND CONDTIONS:
- Equipment used includes, PC workstation running on a LAN in a
Microsoft Windows environment, calculator, phone and other general
- Interface with internal and external contacts as needed to
carry out the functions of the position
- Work is performed in a climate-controlled office with minimal
exposure to safety hazards
- Associate’s degree and at least 3 year of experience, or an
equivalent combination of education and experience
Hiring salary range is $43,070 to $49,531.
Lone Star College provides a hiring salary range for all posted
full-time non-faculty positions. Where your salary offer would fall
in that range is determined by your related experience and
education. Should you receive an offer of employment from Lone Star
