Position Summary:

The Extension Youth Outreach Community Worker position will primarily serve youth in the City of Milwaukee, Wisconsin

This position supports youth education outreach programs that includes engaging volunteers, helping coordinate youth education events and experiences. The Extension Youth Outreach Community Worker delivers pre-designed curricula and services with the support of the 4-H/Youth Development Coordinator and Extension Milwaukee County team members. Initial programming focus will include:
- Contribute to the support of Youth Development educational programs primarily in the City of Milwaukee
- Support and coordinate the delivery educational programming in a school/afterschool setting focused on creating access to Extension resources for youth and families.

The Extension Outreach Community Worker is an employee of the UW- Madison Division of Extension and a member of the Positive Youth Development Extension Institute, with a focus within the Wisconsin 4-H Extension Program.

Additional Information:

6737 W. Washington St, #2202, West Allis, WI 53214. (Note: This position is located in Milwaukee County, it is not on the UW Madison campus).

WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Expected to make individual arrangements for transportation adequate to meet position responsibilities and essential job functions;
2. Work evenings or weekends as needed to meet local needs; and
3. Carrying educational equipment, up to 40 lbs.

SALARY AND BENEFITS:
This is a full time academic staff position. Final salary is commensurate with experience and education. State of Wisconsin benefits including retirement, vacation, sick leave, health insurance, and other insurances.

TYPE OF APPOINTMENT:
This position is a fixed-term renewable academic staff appointment in the University Of Wisconsin-Madison Division Of Extension. Reappointment to this position after the initial term is dependent upon performance and availability of funding.
