Washburn Institute of Technology seeks applications for a Cosmetology Lab Assistant to start immediately.
Required Qualifications:
- Two years of experience (4000 hours) working in Cosmetology or military experience equivalent to two years of experience in Cosmetology.
- License in Cosmetology.
- Licensed Cosmetology Instructor.
- An associate degree or higher in discipline.
- Teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
Lab Assistants are expected to be positive role models for students
- Maintain licensure and certifications as required by the Kansas State Board of Cosmetology.
- Direct, guide and evaluate students during the practical sessions and on the clinic floor.
- Maintain student records about the program.
- Proctor for student rubrics.
- Serve as coverage for instructors during lunch periods and on Saturdays when needed.
- Perform additional job-related duties as assigned or as appropriate.
