Brief Summary of Work for this Position
The Director of Financial Systems reports to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Finance and serves as a member of the Finance Leadership Team. The Director of Financial Systems leads and manages the direction of the Financial Systems team. The position is a functional manager that plans, designs, examines, analyzes, tests, develops, implements, administers, and monitors business and program processes and systems within Finance.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- Masters and 2-4 yrs experience; or a Bachelors in a discipline related to the area of assignment and and 3-5 yrs experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
- 1-2 years of supervisory experience required.
Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Experience working with the following systems:
- Jaggaer
- Chrome River
- Banner Finance
- Banner Student Accounts
- eVisions
- e-Print
- TouchNet
- SSRS .
- Understanding of PCI compliance
- Experience working with integrated accounting and ERP systems
- Understanding of disbursement, procurement processes, and student accounts processes

Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The Finance team within the Division of Business Affairs supports the University’s mission, strategic vision, goals, and objectives by providing key financial services efficiently and effectively. The Finance team provides financial services directly to students and the campus community. Units within Finance include the Controller’s Office, the Office of Budget and Financial Analytics, Purchasing Services, Student Accounts and Cashiers, and Financial Systems.
