Job Summary
Instructional duties include teaching EMS courses at all levels (FR, EMT, EMT-P and others); coordination duties include clinical/field affiliate relations, student counseling, supervision of lab clinicians and maintenance of accreditation standards.
Teach EMS and Paramedic courses as required. May teach evenings and/or weekends as required. Create schedules and acts as the liaison between the program and the clinical and field internship agencies.
Works with other EMS Faculty, EMS Program Director and other allied health faculty collaboratively to deliver exceptional learning experiences for students.
This is a 12 month faculty position - One position begins Fall 2021 and one position begins January 2022.
Required Qualifications
Kansas Paramedic, or RN/PA/MD/DO licensure
Bachelor's Degree
Kansas EMS I/C certification (or obtain within 12 months of hire)
Knowledge of instructional methods & teaching experience to deliver content, instruction & remediation skills
5 years of experience in an EMS role as Paramedic or higher.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s or Doctoral degree in discipline or related field
5-years of full-time EMS transporting experience (or equivalent)
BCLS Instructor, ACLS Instructor, PHTLS Instructor
Experience in EMS initial education.
3 years of experience initial EMS instruction
