Job Summary

Tutor students in various Mathematics courses taught in Johnson County Community College. Other responsibilities include referring students to appropriate resources, assist students with computer software and calculator skills necessary for the courses, help with problem solving skills required in Mathematics, and other duties as requested by the supervisor.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in mathematics or closely related field
One year of teaching or tutoring experience.
Must be familiar with graphing calculators.
Must be able to help with computer programs and online homework platforms.
Good communication skills, including listening with understanding and patience.
Ability to explain concepts and solving word problems in Mathematics, both orally and in written form in a one to one or small group setting.
