This is a full-time benefits eligible position working 1560 hours per year. Working hours:
Monday – Friday; 8 am – 5 pm during the Fall and Spring semesters.

Serves as final point of contact for students, faculty, and staff seeking services at the University Health Center. Uses established procedures to schedule appointments by determining the priority order of the medical issue and directing the patient flow in the reception area.

Ensure all patients present with present with proper identification and insurance documents, collect and verity patient information, and enter all data as necessary into the electronic medical records system timely and accurately.

Assists with immunization record collection by answering questions about mandatory requirements, copying immunization records and having patients complete the Mandatory Immunization Form. Enter immunization data into Banner and scan into Xtender as needed.

Serves as backup for other front office personnel.

Performs other medical office duties pertaining to billing, information collection and medical records as requested. Education & Formal Training High school diploma or equivalent, Associate's degree (Specify field(s) of study below) Other Education & Formal Training
Associate’s degree: Accounting, Office Administration, Business or related field preferred. Computer Skills Word-Processing, Other - Scheduling software preferred. Knowledge in scanning documents preferred. Banner preferred. Experience
Two (2) years clerical experience required.

Experience in medical, clinical, or health service provision environment involving the use of electronic medical records strongly preferred. Other Experience Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position: Criminal History check Other Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Knowledge of a University environment preferred, Human Relations/Interpersonal skills, Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality Other Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
