The salary range for this position is $52,000 – $62,000 at CAT II Lecturer level. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, education, experience, specialty and training.

The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Metropolitan State University of Denver is seeking applications for three full-time, one-year, non tenure-track faculty lecturer positions in Mathematics/Applied Mathematics beginning August 2021.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Teach 15 hours of undergraduate mathematics courses per semester, including evenings, using multimedia and other technologies as needed.

• A successful candidate must have the ability to work with and be sensitive to the educational needs of a diverse, urban population.

Required Qualifications

M.A./M.S in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics completed by August 1, 2021
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Experience teaching mathematics at the undergraduate level with evidence of effective teaching
• Knowledge of technology as it applies to mathematics courses
• Broad interests in undergraduate education, including demonstrated experience successfully teaching and mentoring diverse, underserved students, including students of color and non-traditional students.
