Competitive Sport Coordinator

 

The Department of University Recreation is searching for an experienced and dynamic person to join our team. Under the supervision and direction of the Assistant Director of University Recreation, the Competitive Sport Coordinator is responsible for the daily operation and management of a comprehensive Club and Intramural sports program.  

 

Duties will include, but are not limited to: coordination and oversight of intramural leagues as well as administration of comprehensive club sport program to include policies, procedures and risk management;  proactively identify safety/risk management concerns at indoor/outdoor facilities as well as within the programs; recruit, hire, train, supervise, and mentor student employees; monitor student employee safety certifications for compliance in each job description; fusion software management for University Recreation Department as a whole, including facility reservations, program registration and management for clubs and intramurals; student data management for software; operate as the staff member liaison with Fusion, troubleshooting, and problem solving issues that may arise; manage, maintain and approve all club sport budgets; maintain records of all financial transactions in accordance with University policy; assist and advise clubs with their budget planning; inventory, purchase and maintain intramural and club sports equipment and inventory;

and perform other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements: A bachelor's degree in Recreation, Sport Management, Physical Education or related field and two (2) years related experience in intramurals and/or club sports is required. Current First Aid, CPR, AED certification is required. A master's degree and three (3) years of related experience in a collegiate recreation setting is preferred.  Current CPR Instructor certification is preferred. IMLeagues and fusion software experience is preferred.
