Applications are invited for appointment as Research Officer (holding the title of Project Manager) (Ref.: 504730), to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to funding availability and satisfactory performance.

Applicants should be a registered social worker in Hong Kong and possess a Master’s degree in Social Work recognized by Hong Kong Social Work Registration Board. They should have at least 8 years of significant social work experience in family or healthcare research studies and services. They should be able to work independently and in a team, self-motivated, and familiar with evidence-based services in health and mental health settings. They should have a high proficiency of spoken and written English and Chinese (including Cantonese), and good communication skills.

The appointee will be responsible for leading practice-based research projects on family and health. Duties include developing evidence-based research and practice; liaising with different stakeholders such as NGOs, hospitals and other institutions; conducting professional trainings and community education on family-based psychosocial intervention; conducting group interventions; designing and implementing project evaluation; and performing other duties as assigned.
