Assistant Professor of Biology
The Department of Biological Sciences in the Henson School of
Science and Technology is accepting applications for the position
of Assistant Professor of Biology. This is a
tenure track-track position with a 10-month appointment.
Area of Specialization: Microbiology
Primary Job Duties:
applicant will be expected to: 1) Teach courses in Microbiology at
the introductory and advanced levels and contribute to the General
Biology curriculum. 2) Involve undergraduate and/or Master’s level
students in publication-worthy research. 3) Provide service to the
Department, School, University, and community. 4) Serve as an
academic advisor and professional mentor to Biology students.

related science and must provide evidence of potential for
excellence in teaching and research. Applicants with expertise in
all Microbiology subdisciplines will be considered. Applicants must
have effective written and oral communication skills.
