About the Opportunity:
The Graduate Admissions Counselor, Seattle, Washington serves an integral part of the growth of Khoury College of Computer Sciences at our regional campuses, with a particular focus on increasing domestic enrollment of the College's Align Program. Align allows intellectually curious students to earn a Master of Science in Computer Science (MSCS) regardless of their undergraduate degree and background. In so doing, Align is broadening participation by women and underrepresented minorities in the computing field.

Working as a key member of Khoury's national recruitment team and under the supervision of the Director of Community Relations and Recruitment the Admissions Counselor is responsible for finding domestic prospective student (lead generation) and supporting them throughout the discovery and admissions process, consistently rooted in a strong customer service orientation (nurturing).

Recruit and support for all Khoury programs and domestic students with focus on Align programs

Seattle recruiting is primary however part of national recruitment team and provide support as needed

Stay embedded with Seattle campus community while staying flexible working with small fluid recruitment team of Khoury College

Ability and willingness to jump in where needed to support a small agile team

Stay flexible and fluid as a collaborative team player

Work closely with Director and recruiting and marketing division to establish quarterly recruitment goals to help move needle in diversity

Manage small group of Khoury Graduate Student Ambassadors

Work collaboratively with student ambassador for cross student support

Led generation
Run own regional events + support national events

Stay active as Seattle lead for developing a plan for engagement/outreach at feeder colleges and universities, suggest community partners to engage

Develop and shepherd community partners (ex: Rainer Scholars, WSOS and etc.)

Collaborate with other campus recruiter(s) to develop and align with recruitment strategy

Coordinate, manage and present at recruiting events (on-ground and online)

Organize multicultural and diversity-focused recruitment activities and events, working in collaboration with College and University recruitment marketing teams

Conduct recruiting events on-campus and virtually to recruit graduate students, including admission webinars, campus visits and tours, open houses and information sessions

Deliver presentations in undergraduate classrooms and other small group settings

Nurture
Nurture prospective leads and applicant pipeline to matriculation

Responsible to follow recruitment communication plan and workflow and provide timely respond to new inquires throughout the week

Respond to inquiries on process, curriculum, scholarships & financial aid, etc.

Develop and maintain relationships with local universities, community organizations, guidance counselors, community college transfer centers and other key influencers

Prepare and maintain records and reports related to assigned activities.

Maintain student data into systems, and run reports and perform analysis as needed

Performs routine clerical, office and data entry tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree required; Five years of experience in admissions and/or recruitment; Experience in counseling/advising graduate students; Experience in presenting to small and large audiences; Customer service, sales or marketing experience with personal interaction; Familiarity with CRM (salesforce preferred) and student tracking systems; Experience working in higher ed.; Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; Ability to work independently, remotely and in-person, as part of a team; Capacity to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends; Willingness to travel is necessary; Must be able to lift at least 20 pounds, move furniture and be able to physically set up rooms for meetings/events; Proficiency with MS Office and customer management systems
