Job Summary

The Department of Communication at Columbus State University in Columbus, Georgia seeks applicants for a Limited Term Instructor appointment to teach public relations and strategic communication courses for Fall 2021 and Spring 2022 semesters. The limited term appointment will be effective August 2021.

Responsibilities

This position is expected to teach courses that support our curriculum, including but not limited to advertising campaigns, public relations principles, public relations management, public relations campaigns, social/digital media, strategic media writing, and digital media production. The successful candidate will maintain a 5:5 teaching load each semester.

Required Qualifications

A Master's dgegree in Communication or related discipline and a demonstrated professional production experience and strategic use of social and digital media are required for this position.

Preferred Qualifications

Special consideration is given to candidates whose skill sets include non-profit organizations, corporate communication, and research in media and strategic communication.
