GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Advisor is responsible for providing assistance and support to
students in the planning and organization of the Student Government
Association (SGA) throughout the 2021-2022 Academic Year.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Provides oversight for SGA meetings, adherence to constitution,
and oversight of program planning and development.
Supervises SGA leadership functions and assists in oversight of
Assists Student Engagement and SGA with oversight of SGA budget
and the Student Senate reserve.
Attends on- and off-campus SGA sponsored events and activities.
Travel may include occasional weekends and overnight stays, as
Engages in strategic ACTION outreach by inviting students from
underrepresented communities to participate in SGA.
Seeks behavioral and organizational change in which the SGA
operationalizes racial equity by integrating inclusion into their
Normalizes conversations about race and amplifies the voices of
BIPOC students in as much as it is reflective of student government
and 4Cs student concerns/representation.
Continually guides the SGA membership in creating outreach
plans to BIPOC and underrepresented students by evaluating
progress, processes and maintaining accountability.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Experience in planning and conducting student leadership
programs in a college environment.
Experience SGA or similar program.
A current unrestricted Massachusetts driver's license.

COMPENSATION : $30.03 per hour or Reassigned Time (for
qualified faculty member with Dean approval); up to 4 hours per
week; part-time, non-benefited MCCC Unit Position.
