Term Faculty (Non-Tenure Track) Professional Lecturer - Simulation and Nursing Laboratories (21-22)
The School of Nursing at DePaul University seeks to fill the position of Instructor/Clinical Assistant Professor and Simulation Educator. This is a 12-month, non-tenure track faculty position. The Simulation Educator provides instruction and evaluation of basic and advanced nursing skills for all programs in the School of Nursing. The Educator is a member of the Nursing faculty and reports to the Director of the School of Nursing.
- Provides instruction during scheduled and open practice time in the Nursing Learning Laboratories
- Participates in the design, implementation, and evaluation of student learning experiences that ensure the safe, effective best practice of nursing skills in the clinical laboratory
- Arranges workshops and other programs to address special learning needs of faculty and nursing students related to simulation and nursing skills
- Help ensures that Learning Lab equipment, supplies, computers, and audiovisuals are secure and maintained in good order
- Attends faculty meetings as necessary to support curricular and instructional needs
- Assists laboratory instruction for courses as needed
- Participates in committees
School of Nursing
DePaul's School of Nursing offers the RN-MS (online), Master’s Entry into Nursing Practice, DNP, and Nurse Practitioner tracks and certificates. Nursing Programs are focused on community engagement, service learning in vulnerable communities, social justice and excellent safe quality nursing care. Faculty and students are engaged in Community Based Service Learning experiences in over 60 community sites in the Chicago area. Students are also in clinical sites at over 20 health care institutions.

We seek candidates with a demonstrated record of effectiveness as the instructor for a variety of courses or teaching environments, ability to teach graduate-level courses in analysis and/or applied mathematics, a demonstrated commitment to continued development as an educator, and active engagement in high-quality research.

- Registered Nurse (IL)
- Master’s degree in Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years nursing practice experience in relevant areas
- Advanced computer skills required
- Licensed to practice in the state of Illinois or eligibility for same with application in process
- Experience in patient simulation scenarios
- Broad generalist background with curriculum development experience
- Experience in teaching pre-licensure program
