Arrange a classroom to facilitate learning and meet the needs of each child individually.
Serve as a Lead Teacher for a group of children that may range in age from six weeks through ten years, in a child care setting.
Observe, assess, and assemble developmental records on children in their care.
Plan and organize classroom activities/experiences to facilitate and enhance learning for the children in their classroom. Education & Formal Training Associate's degree (Specify field(s) of study below), Bachelor's degree (Specify field(s) of study below) Other Education & Formal Training
Child Development Associate Credential – Infant/Toddler or Preschool
Associate’s degree in the following field(s) of study: Early Childhood Education, Child & Family Development or Elementary Education
Bachelor’s degree in the following field(s) of study: Early Childhood Education, Child & Family Development or Elementary Education
Maintain CPR and First Aid training (initial training within 90 days of employment) Computer Skills Other - Curriculum and child care software, Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Desktop Publishing Experience
One year experience working in a formal child care program setting. Other Experience Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position: Child care security check, Fingerprinting, Driver's license Other Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements
Fingerprinting: if assigned to Early Head Start classroom Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge: Attention to detail, Communication skills, including oral, written, and/or nonverbal, Physical abilities: mobility/strength/dexterity/balance/coordination/endurance, Supervisory skills, including motivation, delegation of duties, evaluation, etc, Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and meet deadlines, Maintain confidentiality Other Special Skills, Abilities, and Knowledge
