Job Summary

The Office of Advancement and the Division of Student Affairs are conducting a search for a Development Coordinator who can effectively coordinate all aspects of Student Affairs Development related programs, services, and fundraisers. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, organized and energetic professional with strong multi-tasking skills and sound judgement who can help raise philanthropic support for the Division of Student Affairs Development Office. The Development Coordinator will report to the Development Officer for Student Affairs.

Essential Functions

1. Organizes, plans and coordinates various Development events to steward existing donors and meet prospects for Student Affairs throughout the year including but not limited to, regional events partnering with current board members to host various prospects in their area, board meetings, Camp War Eagle parent events, and tailgates

2. Assists in planning and implementing a strategy for annual giving, which includes multiple Student Affairs giving appeals throughout the year and Tiger Giving Day

3. Assists with managing the Student Affairs Development Board which includes interacting and connecting with members of the board, handling logistics and planning of the bi-annual board meetings, assisting with overall programming for board meetings and helping members/donors engage with Student Affairs throughout the year

4. Responsible for maintaining the donor and prospect list as well as a stewardship plan to keep current donors engaged with Student Affairs programs and initiatives

5. Creates draft agreements for donor relations routing process for all new endowments and funds for excellence within Student Affairs

6. Maintains fiscal year budget of development funds and assists with travel and vendor voucher processing for the Development Officer

7. Assists the Development Officer with trip planning for face-to-face appointments

8. Processes all gifts and gifts-in-kind

9. Assists in producing marketing materials to support development efforts

Education Level

Level II requires 2 years of experience in one or more of the following: event management, fundraising, donor relations, alumni relations public relations, marketing/communications, student affairs or general office operations.

Level III requires 4 years of experience in one or more of the following: event management, fundraising, donor relations, alumni relations public relations, marketing/communications, student affairs or general office operations.

The candidate selected for this position should have a demonstrated ability to work successfully with diverse stakeholders, have evidence of success in cultivating and maintaining collaborative relationships, and possess superior organizational skills; the desire to work independently as well as in a collaborative team-based environment.

Must be able and willing to work some weekends and evenings. Occasional travel may be required.
