Senior Business Manager


Primary Function

The Budget Manager assists the Business Administrative Assistant and is responsible for the coordination of the business and service operations of the College of Education Budget Office.

Duties and Responsibilities (generally)

The College of Education Business Manager II is responsible for the business operations for the college. This position manages all personnel related processes for all employment classification across the college and liaises with Human Resource Services and other offices, as necessary. The position oversees all college budgeting and finance process involving multiple funding sources and assists with period financial reporting of all funding sources in the College. The person in this position has autonomy to make expense approval and works to organize and analyze financial data to inform critical financial decisions. The position serves as general College contact for the procurement processes and other transactions. The individual in this position will train department support staff in the College and assist in addressing the operational needs to the College.
Minimum Required Qualifications for this position

1. (A) Bachelor’s degree in business administration or a closely related field (such as accountancy)
or (B) Bachelor’s degree in a field other than those listed in “A” and one year of responsible business experience
or four years of responsible business experience
or a combination of such education and business experience totaling four years
2. five years of responsible accounting and/or business experience, one year of which was at an administrative level
