The Center for Psychological Services and Development ( CPSD ) within the VCU Psychology Department has an opening for an Administrative Assistant. The position provides front-desk evening support for fiscal, administrative, and compliance functions at the CPSD, and as an assistant to the clinic’s Director of Operations.

Job duties include, but are not limited to:
-Managing the front desk Monday through Thursday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM
-Admitting clients, taking payment, and reconciling cash receipts nightly
-Contacting clients, as assigned, to collect payments
-Managing clinic calendars
- Generating routine operational reports, such as cost reports and regulatory and compliance reports
-Assisting efforts to admit and separate practicum students to/from the clinic
-Coordinating routine maintenance and repair of clinic equipment
-Coordinating building repair requests and monitor routine maintenance
-Monitoring clinic supplies and reorder as needed
-Modeling clinic policies, best practices, and service excellence

This employee must be aware of confidentiality guidelines, have good communication and interpersonal skills, and be detail-oriented. Flexibility will be important in this position, as other tasks will need to be completed from time to time. Other tasks may include assisting staff with client applications and other projects within the clinic. Required Qualifications
-Proficiency using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access
-Proficiency using Google Apps (Calendar, Forms, Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.)
-Ability to enter and interpret financial data
-Demonstrated experience working in and fostering a diverse faculty, staff, and student environment or commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU
-Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people in person, on the phone, through email, and to be able to use sound judgment in these interactions
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Strong organizational skills
-Demonstrated ability to work independently and to handle multiple priorities
-Proven ability to attend to details and meet deadlines
-Maintain confidentiality of work related information and materials
-Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience

Physical Requirements:
