Position Special Events Technician Full Time/Part Time Part Time Job Type On-Call Position Summary
Technicians are responsible for patrons safety and accommodations for all events held in Ilfeld Auditorium and Wilson Complex. Position is an on-call position, events will vary. Duties and Responsibilities
Technicians will have various jobs such as house managing, spotlight tech, stage managing, asst. stage managing, concessions, sound tech and light tech. Technicians are responsible for safety of patrons, all duties required to complete a performance where needed and assigned by Ilfeld Auditorium manager. Minimum Job Requirements
Individual must be dependable, responsible, mature and a fast learner. Must be able to work evenings and weekends, holidays and odd hours. Preferred Qualifications
GED or high school diploma Special Conditions for Eligibility
Must be able to lift 5 – 25 lbs. Must be responsible. Continual standing and walking during duration of performance. climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs floor to chest overhead. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be mature and dependable and possess the ability to supervise students with respect, tact and professionalism. Must possess people skills. Must have some knowledge of the technical aspect of the auditorium; sound board, light board, mixing board, spotlight, house managing. Strong lighting skills is a +. Physical Demands
Lifting and carrying up to 10 lbs floor to chest overhead. Continuous walking and standing for duration of performances. Lift and carry up to 25 lbs. Working Environment
Must be able to work around loud noises in a fast paced environment. Pay Rate $15.00 Hr. Work Location/Campus Center Las Vegas, NM Campus EEO Statement
