Teach one online section in fall 2021 of Philosophy 1115: Introduction to Philosophy. The course is three credit hours, and pay for the one-semester appointment is $2,850. Duties and Responsibilities
Teach one online section in fall 2021 of Philosophy 1115: Introduction to Philosophy
Course Description: In this course, students will be introduced to some of the key questions of philosophy through the study of classical and contemporary thinkers. Some of the questions students might consider are: Do we have free will? What is knowledge? What is the mind? What are our moral obligations to others? Students will engage with and learn to critically assess various philosophical approaches to such questions.
The course will be taught in an online synchronous modality using Zoom and the Brightspace LMS . Minimum Qualifications
M.A. in philosophy or related field Preferred Qualifications
Ph.D. or A.B.D. status in philosophy or related field Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proven excellence in teaching
Knowledge of online pedagogical practices
Knowledge of current research-based practices in teaching philosophy Work Location Online - Outside of New Mexico
