Position Summary:
The Office of Admissions at Arkansas State University is seeking applications for a National Recruiter who will assist with Undergraduate Recruitment as a key member of the University’s Recruitment Team. The National Recruiter will assist in the growth of Arkansas State University’s recruitment territory to work with students from across the US. This person is expected to manage a recruitment territory, assist in the development and execution of a recruitment strategy specific to this unique population of students, and assist efforts to yield an incoming class of Arkansas State University students each year.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Actively support the university’s
recruitment efforts for new undergraduates
Communicate effectively and
professionally with prospective students, their families, high
school counselors, Office of Admissions, and other on-campus
partners via email, phone, and in-person methods
Participate in recruitment events
that align with the territory’s needs – which may involve travel or
evening/weekend hours to high schools, regional college fairs,
etc.
Build and maintains pipeline of
students from regional territories, building positive brand
recognition and enhancing Arkansas State’s recruitment efforts
Use data and analytics to drive
day-to-day recruitment strategy and decision making
Report to Admissions leadership on
territory updates and growth
Function as a brand ambassador for
Arkansas State University, including practicing superior customer
service, a positive attitude, and an excitement about the
University
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work efficiently
in a team environment
Advanced verbal and written communication skills and ability to
communicate with a diverse population of stakeholders
The ability to develop, plan, and implement short- and long-term
goals
Preferred previous experience with student recruitment in a higher
education environment
Preferred previous experience with Student Information Systems and
CRM (client relations management) applications to be used for
forecasting, goal setting, and communications.
General Days/Hours:
8 hours daily Monday - Friday
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance
Occasional evenings and weekends

Minimum Qualifications:
An earned Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred to possess a valid Driver's License
Experience in college admissions preferred
Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
