The Department of Mathematics of North Park University, seeks applications for multiple adjunct Mathematics Faculty for the Fall 2021 semester.
The successful adjunct candidate will be committed to teaching in a multicultural environment and welcome the opportunity to work with students with diverse learning abilities. We expect to have full in-person instruction for Fall semester and depending on the conditions with covid, be able to pivot to online instruction as needed. Adjunct Faculty instructors are responsible for course planning and instruction in classroom settings. In addition, adjunct faculty are responsible for student evaluations, and timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
Essential Qualifications:
- Minimum of a master’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or a closely related field, or a master’s degree plus 18 semester hours of graduate-level credit in Mathematics or Statistics disciplines.
- Prior experience teaching Mathematics and Statistics courses at the college-level is desirable.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience teaching general education introductory statistics, and/or courses in the calculus series including vector calculus and differential equations
- Experience teaching remotely with technology in online or virtual teaching mode with access to personal technology, including a home computer
