Position Summary:

This position will assist the Director of the Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP) Division within Department of Psychiatry at the School of Medicine and Public Health. This position must interface and serve as a liaison with CAP Division, Psychiatry Department faculty and staff, UW Health Administration, School of Medicine and Public Health Administration, UW Medical Foundation, UW Institutional Review Board, outside administrators locally, regionally, nationally and internationally. This position will also provide administrative support for members of the Department of Psychiatry Leadership Team including but no limited to the Vice-Chairs of Faculty Development, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Clinical Affairs.

Degree and Area of Specialization:

-Bachelor's degree is preferred.
-Prior training and education in office management, communications, and project management are strongly desired.

Minimum Years and Type of Relevant Work Experience:

-At least 2 or more years of professional experience providing high level administrative support is required.

Additional Information:

A Criminal Background Check is required.

Knowledge/Skills Required:
-Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook).
-Ability to manage sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality at all times.
-Ability to prioritize and keep multiple constituents on task.
-Strong organizational, technical, and leaderships skills.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Ability to function with minimal supervision.

Knowledge/Skills Preferred:
-In-depth knowledge of clinical, educational, and research activities within the Department, UW Health, School of Medicine and Public Health, UW Foundation, and University, as well as knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.
-In-depth knowledge of regulatory and IRB requirements for integrating research activities with clinical care, including establishment of IRB protocols for data collection, establishment of patient registries, and interface with electronic medical records systems.
