This is a full-time benefits eligible position. Provide flight, simulator, and ground instruction in accordance with UCM and FAA regulations and procedures. Prepare schedules, maintain records, and ensure that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by each student in each flight course.

Bachelor’s degree is preferred. In Aviation, Safety, or related field.
Formal training: Flight Training, Must be FAA Certified Flight Instructor. Computer Skills Word-Processing, Spreadsheet, Other - Scheduling software and Flight tracking software Experience
One (1) year experience as a Certified Flight Instructor with 500 hours Flight Instruction of which 125 hours must be instrument instruction. Other Experience Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements of Position: Criminal History check, Subject to random drug testing, Driver's license Other Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, & State/Federal Requirements
FAA Certified Flight Instructor with Second Class Medical Certificates, CFII required and MEI preferred.

Pre-employment drug screening required. Comprehensive knowledge of FARs relating to pilot schools and flight operations and FAA regulations concerning Part 141 Flight School Operations and Part 61.

Knowledge of and ability to apply effective instructional technique in the classroom and in flight.
Knowledge of appropriate Federal Aviation Regulations and University Academic, administrative, operational procedures and requirements.
Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced and noisy environment while exercising sound judgment at all times.
Strong customer service skills.
