Position Function

Perform duties as assigned with health care program and as directed by Head Athletic Trainer.

Minimum Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution by date of appointment.

Minimum Experience

At least two years of related experience.

Minimum Other

Authorization to work in the US

Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Preferred Education

Master’s degree from an accredited institution.

Preferred Experience

At least three years of related experience.

Job Duty

Make recommendations for the coordination of the day-to-day operations of the health care program for Intercollegiate Athletics.

Serve as the athletic trainer and have direct supervision for one or more sports, as necessary on a daily basis, as assigned by the Head Athletic Trainer.

Evaluate injuries and make physician referral decisions for assigned sports.

Design and implement, in coordination with the team physician, all rehabilitation and therapeutic programs for assigned sports.

Work in conjunction with other members of the training staff, to supervise the athletic training students in the athletic training major.
