Computer Science Research Associate

Position Summary

The Computer Science Research Associate ( CSRA ) will be responsible for web programming of a transplant research website under the direction of the Principal Investigator. The CSRA will:
  • design, code, and improve user-friendly web pages, and tabulate metadata within Alchemer
  • execute tasks independently with minimal supervision
  • make sound design decisions
  • communicate progress to the Principal Investigator.

Minimum Qualifications

· Experience with Web Service architectures and technologies.
· Web Services API Programming- REST, XML and JSON .
· Experience with JavaScript/ AJAX, including common libraries and
debugging tools.
· Experience with relational databases such as MySQL.
· Working in Cloud environments in a plus such as AWS .
· Professional experience in web development/programming.
· Foundational knowledge of one or more general purpose
programming languages (java, python, C++, etc).
· General knowledge of Docker.
· Preferred knowledge of Lambda, S3, API Gateway, RDS, Linux terminal.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science (preferred).
