Position Summary

A postdoctoral associate position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Jennifer Surtees to study triplet repeat dynamics using the model systemSaccharomyces cerevisiae. The project involves a combination ofin vitroprotein biochemistry andin vivogenetic analysis and screening. The Surtees lab provides a collegial environment and has trained a diverse group of people over the years. We welcome scientists from all backgrounds and we mentor trainees at all levels.

The Surtees lab is located in the new Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences on the Buffalo Niagara Medical campus in downtown Buffalo, NY.

Minimum Qualifications

PhD or MD with background in molecular biology, genetics or biochemistry
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with protein biochemistry and/or yeast genetics and/or molecular biology
