Position Summary:

The Division of General Internal Medicine (GIM) seeks exceptional internists to provide patient-centered care for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic illnesses in the outpatient setting at the UW Health Clinic in Beaver Dam Wisconsin. GIM provides faculty with ample opportunities for medical education and scholarship. A competitive salary and benefit package is provided. Principal Duties:

For appointments hired as Assistant Professor (CHS) or Associate Professor (CHS):
Provide patient care at UW Health approved location(s); provide clinical teaching to medical students and/or residents and fellows. GIM provides faculty with ample opportunities for medical education and scholarship. Time is expected to be spent on clinical research activities and academic service.

Candidates for appointment as Associate Professor (CHS) rank will demonstrate academic credentials for this title/rank per established SMPH guidelines.

License or Certificate:

American Board of Internal Medicine Board Eligible/Board Certified . The expectation is to be Board Certified within the first two years of employment.

Eligible for Wisconsin medical licensure

Additional Information:

This position has been identified as a position of trust with access to vulnerable populations. The selected candidate will be required to pass an initial Caregiver Check to be eligible for employment under the Wisconsin Caregiver Law and then every four years.
