Position Overview
The University of Kansas School of Law invites applications from entry level and junior lateral candidates for a tenure-track, associate professor position to begin in the fall of 2022. Although we will consider candidates in all subject areas, we are particularly interested in the area of property law. Qualified candidates who will contribute to the diversity of our law school community, including a diversity of scholarly approaches, are especially encouraged to apply.
In a continuing effort to enrich its academic environment and provide equal educational and employment opportunities, the Law School actively encourages applications from members of underrepresented groups in higher education. The successful candidate must have appropriate authorization to work in the U.S. before employment begins.

The Faculty Appointments Committee will begin review of applications on August 25, 2021 and continue until the positions is filled. Initial interviews will be conducted via Zoom. We will review candidate materials posted in the AALS Faculty Appointments Register (FAR), and also invite applications from candidates not participating in the FAR.
Applications must be submitted online at https://employment.ku.edu/academic/19640BR and should include a cover letter, a CV or resume, a detailed statement of research interests and future plans, a statement related to diversity, a writing sample, and the names of three professional references. Materials such as teaching evaluations or additional samples of scholarly work, may be requested of candidates at a later date. Although later applications may be considered, for the fullest consideration, applications from candidates not participating in the FAR should be submitted by August 25, 2021.
