The Department of Biology and Biomedical Sciences is pleased to announce an opening for a Visiting Assistant Professor to start September 1st, 2021. Area of expertise is open. The candidate should be committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching. The length of the appointment is for 2 year with a possible option for a 3rd year.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The candidate should have an ability to communicate effectively, to use technology effectively in teaching and learning, and to work collaboratively with students and faculty. Candidates will be expected to demonstrate a commitment to teaching that speaks to and motivates undergraduates from diverse backgrounds. The successful candidate will be expected to teach 30 contact hours per academic year.
The successful candidate must have an earned Ph.D. in a related area of biology by time of hire. Teaching and postdoctoral research experience is preferred but not mandatory.
