Production and Lab Manager NM/DRAM

The Production and Lab Manager is a shared position between the departments of Drama and New Media that serves as both a creative and technical resource for the two departments.  This position is shared approximately 20 hours per week with each department, with some flexibility based on the needs of each department at various times of year.  This position helps students to understand the connection between art, design, media, creativity, and personal growth.   For the Drama department, this position is responsible for managing, scheduling, and systematizing all production and design elements of the departments production program.  This position will oversee all production and design elements of the Department of Theater's production programs.  This position will manage the box office and front of house operations, manage and implement PR and marketing plans, and serve as the on-site supervisor for performances.   For the New Media department, this position is responsible for overseeing and maintaining computer labs and the audio/visual equipment within the department.  This employee will serve as the first point of contact for knowledge and maintenance of the audio/visual/computing production equipment and 3D printing used within the department.  This position will work closely with students in the operation of equipment.   This position collaborates with the faculty, staff, and students in both departments to achieve the department's creative and educational goals.  This position also ensures that production values for all productions and oversight of labs is managed efficiently and with a high degree of professionalism.   The ability to be flexible and manage various responsibilities is important to be successful in this position.
