Our flagship campus will be located in Saigon Hi-Tech Park, in Ho Chi Minh City (District 9). Until phase 1 of campus construction is completed, we are located at Crescent Plaza, Tan Phu, in Ho Chi Minh City (District 7).

About YSEALI Academy

Launched in 2013, the Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) is U.S. government’s signature program to strengthen leadership development and networking in Southeast Asia. YSEALI seeks to build the leadership capabilities of youth in the region, strengthen ties between the United States and SEA, and nurture an ASEAN community. YSEALI is partnering with Fulbright University Vietnam in Ho Chi Minh City to launch the YSEALI Academy at Fulbright.

The YSEALI Academy at Fulbright will offer executive-level seminars for entry to mid-level professionals around the themes of technology and innovation, public policy, and entrepreneurship. Participation will be open to applicants from Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam. YSEALI Academy at Fulbright aims to deliver 16-20 high-quality seminars in the next five years to rising leaders (“Fellows”) across Southeast Asia. These seminars will address regional challenges from regional perspectives, feature leading regional and US-based experts in industry and academia, and involve individual and group-based, experiential learning activities designed to create lasting professional relationships between Fellows of different nationalities and foster skills which can be applied in Fellows’ careers.

The opportunity

Fulbright University Vietnam seeks applications for one faculty position in the YSEALI Academy. Preference will be given to applicants in the field of technology & innovation.

In close cooperation with the United States Department of State, YSEALI Academy faculty will develop seminar topics for YSEALI Academy at Fulbright that(1) address pressing regional challenges, (2) are highly relevant and attractive to young professionals, (3) align with the three themes on public policy, technology & innovation, entrepreneurship, (4) collaborate with existing Fulbright faculty expertise as well as expertise from American and ASEAN institutional partners to develop innovative curricula and cutting-edge teaching methods for delivery at the seminars, and (5) are conducive to digital delivery in case of contingency.

Qualifications

• A PhD (or equivalent terminal degree) in business and management (operations, decision science, business strategy), engineering and computer science (AI, machine learning, data analytics, fintech, cybersecurity) with an entrepreneurial mindset is required.
• Relevant teaching and research experience in technopreneurship, technology and innovation are desired.
• Experience or interest in Vietnam and Southeast Asia will also be appreciated.
• Vietnamese language skills are valuable, but not required.
• Candidates will ideally take up the position in the third quarter of 2021. Remuneration and benefits will be internationally
