Executive Communications Manager

Location: Moscow

Pay Range: $55,885 per year or more, depending on experience and education

Full/Part Time: Full Time

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Executive Director of Communications and Marketing, the Executive Communications Manager is responsible for all aspects of presidential and some additional executive-level communications on university-related matters for both internal and external audiences.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience writing executive-level messaging, such as speeches, briefings, editorials and/or positioning documents.
  • Experience managing executive-level communications, or writing on behalf of an executive for a variety of internal and external purposes.
  • Experience tailoring content to a variety of outputs, and audiences.
  • Experience writing content for distribution to public audiences either through news media, organizational channels, or online channels.
  • Experience managing multiple projects in a complex organization.
  • Experience meeting tight deadlines.
  • Experience working in a complex organization.
  • Experience editing and writing business correspondence using proper grammar and punctuation.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communication, public relations, English, or a communications-related field .
  • Experience working in higher education or a complex public organization.
  • Experience implementing communications strategy to support organizational growth and/or change.
  • Experience in issues management and crisis communications.
  • Experience developing and implementing strategies to communicate complex issues to a large organization.
  • Experience in project management.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing executive communications, particularly speeches.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with others on projects and strategy to great effectiveness.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize good judgement to communicate effectively.
