Department: Physician Assistant Program
Monmouth University is seeking applications for a Specialist Professor in the Master of Science degree Physician Assistant Program. This non-tenure track position is for the 2021-2022 academic year, and is a two year initial appointment subject to subsequent multi-year reappointments without limit.
The candidate would be expected to teach 18 credits per year of classroom and laboratory instruction and evaluation and remediation of students; Prepare materials, author, administer, and grade written and practical examinations; maintain a regular schedule of office hours for student advising, tutoring, and remediation; engage in program evaluation, student admissions, student evaluations, and curriculum development; contribute to activities related to program development, continuous quality improvement, and accreditation; and be available for other University, School and/or Program service as needed.

Required Years of Experience: 3
Master’s degree or higher in healthcare-related field. Possess a current National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) certification.
Three years of full-time experience as an NCCPA board-certified physician assistant (PA-C) .
Demonstrated potential for effective teaching of physician assistant or medical students at the University level.
