About the Opportunity:
The Senior Program Manager reports to the Director of Strategic Planning & Projects and will advise, consult, and guide the project management process for multiple large scale, complex, cross-organizational and interrelated projects. In partnership with leadership and the PMO director, they will lead and provide direction and ownership of a set of interrelated projects and create a roadmap to represent the planned work across the entire program. The Senior Program Manager will tie the program (as well as individual projects) to the university's strategy and visualize dependencies between projects in the program.

Responsibilities:
The Senior Program Manager will work closely with senior stakeholders to lead cross functional teams in identifying project priorities, creating project documentation and processes, and oversee the entire project lifecycle, delivering, high quality, innovative solutions.

This position requires confidence, self-discipline, a sense of urgency, and the ability to work independently with minimum direction. The Senior Program Manager must be able to adapt quickly to rapidly changing conditions and priorities, identifying risks, solutions, and opportunities to ensure goals are met. The job demands a factual, direct style of communication and significant self-discipline with attention to detail. There is a strong demand for high quality, organized and repeatable results.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8-10 years' experience leading complex projects
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certificate required
  • Knowledge of Agile Scrum practices required
  • Extensive experience with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.
  • Proven experience in delivering large, complex project s, including technical projects
  • Two plus years of supervisory experience required
  • Strong leadership, diplomacy and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down an organization
