About the Opportunity:
This is a Temporary Part-time opportunity in the Bouve College of Health Sciences for an Assistant MPH Director. This temporary role will cover a position lasting a period of 4-5 months, subject to possible renewal dependent on business need.

This is a part-time, non-benefits eligible position.

Please note: The primary work location for this position is the Boston MA Northeastern University Campus Location. Until our full return to campus, which is still to-be-determined, this interview process will be conducted remotely- including virtual interviews, remote onboarding and remote work. The remote nature of this position is subject to change in the future and is only temporary. Local, on-campus work will be required once the College and this role return to an operational status that supports it.

Responsibilities:
  • Department Administrative Support including TA facilitation, bi-weekly staff meetings and master schedule tracking
  • Graduate Admissions Lead for Spring 2021 Applicants
  • MPH program operations including new student orientation, overrides/student registration, adjunct faculty support, Canvas support
  • Academic advising and student support including, Capstone/Practicum reminders and forum and SAC lead
  • Assist Program Director with administrative duties for Capstone course

  • Qualifications:
  • Exceptional time management, organizational and attention to detail skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
  • Familiarity with higher education administration, particularly graduate school admissions and/or student advising
  • Experience working in higher education or admissions preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suites and comfort with learning new systems and software required including SOPHAS and Banner
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a team with faculty, students, staff and internal and external stakeholders
