Adjunct Instructor, Chemistry

Job Summary: The Department of Natural Sciences and Math is seeking qualified candidates for part-time Adjunct Instructor positions to teach the following courses to Forensic Science and Biology majors in Fall, 2021.

CH 140 College Chemistry I with Lab (4 credits), MWF 11:30-12:20, Lab W 1:30-3:10

CH 311 Organic Chemistry I with Lab (4 credits), MWF 12:30-1:20, Lab M 1:30-3:10

BI 320 Biochemistry with Lab (4 credits) TTh 9:35-10:50, Lab Th 12:25-1:40

Appointment/Start Date: August 2021

Requirements/Qualifications: MS in Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field is required. Teaching excellence and professional experience are desired. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience in teaching Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, or Biochemistry at the college level. Candidates must be available to teach during the times mentioned above.

Successful candidates are expected to deliver the course materials through the College Blackboard learning management system. Candidates must be able to work safely in a teaching lab, sit and stand for long periods in labs, lift and safely handle laboratory equipment, instructional models, chemicals, reagents, glassware, etc., as needed for teaching.
