Preference will be given to individuals who possess :
• Associate’s degree.
• Recent (within last two (2) years) experience in using database systems and the internet.
• Demonstrated experience of ability to provide positive customer/student service to a diverse community.
• Demonstrated evidence of ability to plan, organize, and implement multiple tasks and complete tasks accurately and on time.
• Demonstrated evidence of strong interpersonal skills (verbal, non-verbal, and written communication) and the ability to interact with or lead a small group.
• Experience with problem-solving, ability to research solutions.
• Demonstrated evidence of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Demonstrated evidence of working in a collaborative team environment. Work Hours
Normally scheduled Monday through Friday; however, may be required to work other shifts to include evenings and/or weekends. Schedule subject to change based upon department needs. This is the first level in the Student Services series. Incumbents provide basic information and services to students and prospective students regarding enrollment process, financial aid, career services, disability
support, records and transcripts, or counseling, and perform clerical duties. Major duties and responsibilities include: providing admissions information to prospective students; providing information on academic requirements and processes, financial aid, and registration processes; processing payments; reviewing documentation; entering and tracking data; responding to general inquiries; scheduling appointments; maintaining supplies; and maintaining records, documents, activities, or student status.

Typical Essential Duties

• Provides information to prospective and current students, to include information on admissions, academic requirements and processes, financial aid, college offerings and services, and/or registration processes.
• Provides assistance to students and other individuals; work may involve responding to general inquiries via phone, email, or in person; distributing supplies and resources; providing referrals; directing calls to appropriate personnel/departments; giving campus tours; assisting students with completing documentation; reviewing and collecting documentation; and processing payments.
• Maintains records, call sheets, forms, spreadsheets, and training and other documentation; and enters and tracks student data related to test scores, activities, status, financial aid, scholarships, and other financial, general, and confidential information.
• Performs basic clerical duties to include scheduling appointments, maintaining supplies, reserving rooms, maintaining calendars, processing correspondence, and preparing and distributing materials packets.
• Assists admissions coordinators and other internal and external staff and departments with basic administrative duties, to include setting up and reserving rooms, distributing promotional materials, sending out invitations and reminders, registering students, and monitoring attendance, during special events and to facilitate related departmental operations.
• Performs other duties of a similar nature or level.

Physical Requirements

Positions in this class typically require: reaching, standing, walking, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.

Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing are required only occasionally.
